Things that make me happy right now...

Dear Ross, Joey, Chandler, Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe,
If anyone knows me at ALL they know you are #1 in my life. You complete me. I love you and the humorous lives you live.

Dear Quesadilla Maker,
I am aware that quesadillas are probably the easiest thing in the world to make, next to toast, but seriously, you are one of the top greatest inventions on this earth right now. You make that tortilla and cheese taste SO perfectly delicious, life just wouldn't be the same without you. Eric even admitted that you are the reason he dated me. I'm not even mad.

Dear Benjamin Button Movie,
Why am I so in love with you?  I really can't figure it out, you just suck me in. If I even see your case I can't stop thinking about you until I just give in. I love your separate life stories, the man child, the ballerina, the sweet black mother, the lady friend swimmer, the tug boat captain, the man that gets struck by lightening, you are just amazing!

Dear Boutique,
If you are not aware, I have already dedicated a whole entire post on you and your greatness. You are my all time #1 favorite place to shop in this universe. You are just filled up with GREAT stuff for cheap, cheap, cheap!

Dear Truffles,
One word. YUM. That is what you are to me. A piece of heaven that melts in my mouth. You can thank my beautiful mom, Lindt Truffles are her absolute favorite. Every time we got you for her (birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc..)she ALWAYS shared. Now all 5 daughters are officially addicted to you and your goodness.

Dear iPhone,
You are my favorite piece of technology that I own. I am never bored with you by my side. Thank you for filling my life with joy.
P.S. I don't care for it much when you stop working. If you could work on that, I'd be eternally grateful.

Dear Blankets,
Thank you for warming my body and soul. I am very grateful to you on account of my roommates think it's worth the money to freeze at night instead of turning on the heater. I'm glad you have become such good friends with my boots and thermal garments considering you are all together every night I have to sleep in the freezing state of Utah. You have blessed my life.

Dear Doctors of Seattle Grace,
Thank you for the entertainment that you provide in my life. I feel all giddy inside every time I hear that Cozy in the Rocket jingle, in which I am listening to on my friend iPhone at the present time. You just thrill me, and I always contemplate being a doctor for the next 30 minutes after watching you.
P.S. I could do without the lesbian action. Thank you.

Dear Magic Bullet,
You provide so many kinds of delicious everyday of my life that I don't even know how to thank you. You are incredible and I am constantly amazed at your grinding skills. Thank you for that.

Dear Barney, Robin, Ted, Lilly, and especially Marshal,
I just have such a humongous love for you guys. You have blessed my life with laughter, excitement, and hilarious quotes that I can use and nobody even knows I'm not really the genius behind those witty remarks. Be strong and carry on!
P.S. Marshal, if you and Lilly ever split up, heaven forbid, I will TOTALLY marry you. ....I luh you

Love Always, Sara

Life would be good if I lived in a castle

As of the last couple years I've had this urge to write a book. They say that we learn the most from birth to about 4 years old. Something like that. Well I think I may have come pretty close to beating that in these last 3 years. Sometimes I wonder why these things just suddenly clicked in my head, if it is normal for that to happen at some point of everyone's lives, or maybe I have magical powers. That would be sweet. Unfortunately that is probably not the case.

Anyways, I've come up with different book ideas, although I have no skill whatsoever in writing, I hated English class, but for all I know I would love it now. But I think it would be a great experience to try and write a book. Maybe I wouldn't finish for years and years, but it would be fun to try! So I've brainstormed different ideas of what to write about: (I am fully aware I am not a professional, there are so many people out there that could cover my topics much more fully.)

*Finding yourself
*How to recognize red flags while dating
*Top signs of physical, emotional, or verbal abuse
*Gaining confidence and self esteem
*How to help recover from divorce
*Traveling through Europe (requires me to go to Europe)
*A Historical Novel on the Tudor family
*A Historical Novel on a family in LDS church history
*A story on someone great, but minor in the scriptures, and show their point of view like Gregory Maguire does

Also in the last 3 years I have this growing obsession of learning, the need to be in school even when I can't, taking random classes, and LOVING books. Good books. At least to me. I'm working my butt off just to have a little extra spending money so I can get myself a cheap, but hopefully larger bookshelf as soon as I can. As of right now, my pile of books I was able to get out here are laying on the floor in the corner of my room. NOT looking cute. As I was thinking about having my own library one day I pictured the library from Beauty and the Beast. THAT would be amazing!

Beautiful right?? Well, that's never going to happen... BUT I would love a library one day. And for a little while my library is just going to have to be a pile of books on the floor, then it will be one book shelf, but eventually I will have a room with the bookshelves covering the walls, and the most comfortable couches you could ever sit in, with a desk with the most comfortable swivel chair you would ever sit in! You'll be so confused which one to use! And of course there will be a fireplace, a giant globe of the world, and a little corner where all the kids books and those cute mini chairs will be so that nobody will feel excluded from my heaven. Except when I want them to be excluded, of course. Why is this thought so exciting to me? I have turned into a giant nerd and I'm not ashamed.

Inspiration

I have some favorite quotes of all time I want to share, these are things that really help me feel happy, I like to carry them in my purse and read over them to inspire me if I get bored:

"In the furnace God may prove thee,
thence to bring thee forth more bright,
but can never cease to love thee,
thou art precious in His sight.
God is with thee, God is with thee,
thou shalt triumph in His might"
~Hymn #43, Zion Stands with Hills Surrounded

"Oneness doesn't mean thinking and feeling the same way about everything, rather it has to with being dedicated to encouraging one another's spiritual growth, having reverance for one another's individuality, and coming together into oneness of heart with the Lord's purpose. Thus instead of marrying a soulmate we marry a unique person and embark on learning to become a soulmate, since few are ready to have, or be, soulmates when they marry."
~M. Catherine Thomas

"Life is too short to not feel safe with the one you love"
~Charly, The Movie

"This is my moment to look for the kind of healing and peace that can only come from solitude"
~Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat Pray Love

"We need to learn to find ourselves without losing each other"
~Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

"Men and women who turn their lives over to God will find out that he can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He will deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, raise up friends, and pour out peace. Whoever will lose his life to God will find he has eternal life."
~Ezra Taft Benson

"Our spirits long to be with someone because marriage is a part of Heavenly Father's plan"
~Feb 09 New Era

"Make the effort to ponder the eternal picture and all the stress will just melt away"
~Feb 09 New Era

"There is a reason they call God a presence...because God is here, right now. In the present is the only place to find Him, and now is the only time."
~Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat Pray Love

"The stronger the temptation, the greater the blessings ahead."
~Katie Meyers

"Become kind. Become carefree. Become encouraging. Become ambitious. Become giggle. Become humble. And become glorious you!"
~Maggie Undley

Only 364 days til Christmas!!!

I always think the day after Christmas will be the saddest day of the year.  It never is, but people change during the holidays, right? They're just much more giving and happy. Then somehow they fade back into their old routines of selfishness and everyone just lives their own lives.  Why is that? How come we can't just stick to that holiday feeling and we can just be happy all the time??  I guess then Christmas time wouldn't be as special......Fine. At least I can try right?

Now we look at the new year, make our resolutions, and try to be better this year than last. I had never actually followed through on my goals until these last 2 years, and I'm so glad that I did. I found myself pulling out my list that I kept in my wallet and checking how far along I had gotten. One of my goals last year was to learn something new so when I was looking over my list in about October I realized I hadn't really done that yet. So me, Kenz, and our friend Kristie started an adult ballet class together. I'm not ashamed. It was SO great, and once I moved they kept going without me.  I loved it!
This year a big goal of mine is to take more time learning french. I got myself a cd lesson manual that I can use at work, and hopefully I can find a class to take once I start school here. I'm excited to see how much I can accomplish, it's such a good feeling to be motivate.
If anyone even reads this I recomend you sit down and really think about some goals you would like to accomplish in the next year, then think of ways to really do that. It's the best feeling when you look back and see what you have accomplished.

Oh Holy Night...

There is a family in Provo that goes all out for Christmas, they do a live nativity every year in their backyard. They put a huge tent up and I swear all of Provo comes. You walk through and so many different families are dressed as they did in the days of Christ's birth. They have stands throughout it and straw on the ground with live animals. Men with fake/real looking beards walk around holding chickens by their feet trying to sell them. Children are herding sheep, and this little "blind" boy dressed in rags was sitting in the corner with a bowl for any spare change. It was so neat.

Then Roman soldiers marched in and started yelling for attention and announced that everyone was to be taxed. Apparently we were the guests in the inn and the inn keeper and his wife got up to make us feel welcome. After awhile a man came walking through looking for the inn keeper, pulling a donkey with his beautiful pregnant wife on the back.

The inn keeper told them there was no more room but his wife convinced him to help the poor couple.

So the inn keeper and his wife took them to their stable in the back, we followed them out, and an angel, who was a live man on the tallest latter in the world apparently, spoke to some shepards and told them that the Savior was born and they would find Him laying in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes.

So they went and found the baby Jesus. Everybody sang Silent Night and we had a closing prayer, then we were all able to go up and see the Holy Family. It was so incredible, I have never felt the Christmas spirit so strong. It was so neat to be able to imagine what it would be like to be with Christ that night, to witness His birth in that humble stable.

They used a real baby to play Christ, he was so sweet just sleeping up there, nothing bothered him at all, I went to take a picture and he opened his eyes right in time.

The wisemen were there as well, to worship Christ. They just did such a wonderful job with everything!

Merry Christmas!!
