thankful

i've got a ridiculously large amount of things to be grateful for this year.  i admit i am one of those people that starts celebrating christmas in october...just listening to music! but i fully acknowledge every holiday in between because halloween and thanksgiving is just as important...especially thanksgiving.

so i want to take this time to think about those things i've been so blessed with. i wish i had the time, energy, and blog space to list every single one but i think just a handful will do.

1. i am thankful for my tiny little family of my own. i prepared myself for life with just us two and we have been enormously blessed with an addition coming in april. only one week til we find out if it's a he or she!! i love my amazing husband for everything he is and is trying to be for me and our family.

2. i am thankful for all my other family. this includes SOOO many people, my parents and sisters, my grandparents-all 5 of them, for my brother and last but not least, my amazing in-laws. i think i've been blessed because my last ones were such a nightmare and it has fully been made up for and more. we don't leave matt's parent's home without money or food of some sort. they watch over us in every way and make sure everything is always ok. and i can't say enough about my new sister, she's the most selfless person i've ever met.

3. i am thankful for the opportunity i had to travel so much. i can't wait to teach my kids about other cultures and people, i love that my husband has such a strong desire to live in the philippines one day. i love that i had such amazing travel buddies and i'm so grateful for all the thing i learned that i can never forget.

4. i am thankful for my amazing job that allows me to pretty much do whatever i want. i get paid to read, blog, facebook, write, coupon, anything. and working for the government means amazing health insurance that doesn't take a penny out of our paychecks. we have the most incredible doctor so close to home, and work is so understanding with our appointments every month. it's the biggest blessing to not have money be a burden when it comes to health care.

5. i am thankful for my health. even though i'm frustrated at all the traveling weight that i brought into my life, i'm still healthy and happy! even struggling with depression at some points, i am grateful to have it under control and be able to make the most of my life.

6. i am thankful for the gospel in my life and that it ties everything together so easily. i am grateful for my testimony and for the spirit that guides my every move. i am grateful for those in my life that have taught me so much and those that have passed on and are still watching over me. i am so happy to know that i can be with my husband for all eternity and that our children will always be connected to us because we chose to be sealed in the temple.
